I hope you like the artwork we created. Tavern in the Cavern is a place where you can rest, listen to, and partake of the tales within the worlds of Dara Joy. Your adventure begins:

You walk into the Tavern in the Cavern. It has been a long journey for you. You are tired and are looking for a safe haven for the night. The smoky room is crowded, even at this late hour. As you scan the room, you note several species of aliens. Some friendly. Some not. You do not have many clarified stones left; even so, you decide to order a horn of keeran. Taking a seat at a table by the window, you notice a tall golden haired man by the bar. He wears the cloak of a Charl. At the next table sits a Familiar male. He is exotically beautiful. It has been a long time since you have seen one. You've forgotten how incredibly alluring they are... They are becoming rarer and rarer. As you set down your horn, he captures you in his dual-colored sights. Even over the noise in the tavern, you can hear him softly purrrrrrr...

Some questions to help you get started:

Who are you? Why are you traveling? Where did you come from? Is anyone chasing you/are you in hiding? Are you on a mission or a quest? Are you meeting anyone at the tavern?

As the rpg starts(or continues, you might elect to be in the tavern already)

As players enter the tavern, the story will progress n its own. Some of you will sit at seperate tables or stand at the bar...get up after awhile and mingle into other characters spaces. (Be respectful though.)

Some basic ground rules:

Each person must create their own character. (Actual characters out of Dara's books may pop in from time to time)

Charater paths must be independent of story-lines in Dara's books. In other words, please don't "finish" a thread or storyline from one of Dara's books. The fun is in entering the universe as your character and, with others, play a live story-line.

There will be a chat room for Tavern in the Cavern along with a Bulletin Board page to post info about the rpg, replies, and continuation rap-ups of a role-play in progress. When you select the link for the chatroom there will be two rooms to choose from. One being the Sentinels and the other being Tavern in the Cavern. Select Tavern in the Cavern for the rpg chat.

Only info pertaining to the Role Play will be posted and discussed on the Tavern in the Cavern Bulletin Board and the Chat Room.

Characters of Dara's books will not be aligned permanently to any character that is created. There are many fans of Dara's books and her characters, so all readers have to be respected. Sharing is good.

You can't take other people's characters and do what you want with them. During live roleplay both parties have to bring the story to that point in live roleplay if that was to occur. The boards are to state the continuity of the story and the basic frame work. The purpose of the live roleplay is to move the story along spontaneously and of course, have fun.
