Funny Bug

A reader, Tee, sent us some pictures of her very adorable animals for our captioning game. The kitten’s name is Tazz and the puppy’s name is Brindle. Brindle is a rotti/wolf mix and Tazz is only 10 weeks old. How could we resist? On that note, I’ll start off the fun with the first caption:

Brindle and Tazz

“Mmm, my appetizer has arrived!”

You all did a great job last time- let’s see what you come up with for this playful shot! If anyone would like to submit pictures of their animals for the game we would love to see them. We will pick the photos that have the best potential for the game. All submitted pictures will be posted in the Pet Parade on the STABLES link so all your pets will be the stars they deserve to be! Oops, I got to go back to finishing this novel.

Love,
Dara

Settling into the redesigned website. . .

is like getting reacquainted with a room after you have remodeled. You love the updated features; but it takes a while to find your favorite chair. As many of you have noticed, we are playing around with ideas (yours and ours), trying to find the best fit. Thanks to everyone for the feedback; please keep it coming. We’ve added more functionality to the blog- you can now respond to each others posts as well as mine. You can even add an emoticon to puntuate your heartfelt sentiments! Consequently, we’ve taken down the php board for now (I think it may be redundate and I have never liked that format anywho).

Thanks to everyone who submitted the captions to the cat attack picture. Hillarious. This seemed to be popular so we will be on the lookout for some fun pics to caption.

I would also like to invite anyone who wants to guest blog to submit their entries to Cory at qask89@prodigy.net. We would especially love to hear from writers and readers about writing, the industry- whatever topic you wish to discuss. (Please note we do not have any desire whatsoever to be a negative website; we are looking for intelligent discussion- not slamming and snark.) Guest blogs will be posted periodically.

“Have you ever blogged, Dr. Hackenbush?”
“Only when no one’s watching.”

A long time friend and all around super bookseller, Rosemary from Rosemary’s Books in Australia has sent us a lovely review for DEATH BY PLOOT PLOOT:

“At long last the Matrix of Destiny is back. DEATH BY PLOOT PLOOT updates the series and it’s like catching up with dearly missed old friends as the characters have not changed and ring true. I so enjoyed this story as it bridges or transitions between the past and the future books. This is vintage Dara Joy and I smiled and laughed whilst reading as the dialogue is funny and quirky and I felt really good about the story.
Welcome back, Knights of the Charl.”

Thanks, Rosemary! (You can check out Rosemary’s incredible store at Rosemary’s Romance Books).

Cory has posted a page of reviews on DEATH BY PLOOT PLOOT from readers and reviewers here. If you would like to add yours to the page, send it to Cory at QASK89@prodigy.net.

Well, it’s back to writing for me!

Dara
