This time of year I often think of this old song:
My father’s mansion’s many rooms
Have room for all of His children
As long as we do share His love
And see that all are free.
And see that all are free to grow
And see that all are free to know
And free to open or to close
The door of their own room.
What is a room without a door
Which sometimes locks or stands ajar?
What is a room without a wall
To keep out sight and sound from all?
And dwellers in each room should have
The right to choose their own design
And color schemes to suit their own
Though differing from mine.
Yes and each door has its own design
To suit the owners state of mind
And those who’d want them all the same
Don’t understand, the human game.
My father’s mansion’s many rooms
Have room for all of His children
If we do but share in His love
And see that all are free.
The choice is ours to share this earth
With all its many joys abound
Or to continue as we have
And burn God’s mansion down.

“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”
– FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT
It has been said that freedom is never free. It is paid for in sacrifice. The bricks that build its foundation are the brave men and women whose shining service forge the mortar. This is a debt we repay by holding the holy gift of freedom forever in our hearts.
We pay homage to them all on this Memorial Day.
And never forget.

or as we say in Mass- Happy Evacuation Day ; )
Did you know that according to wikipedia, “St. Patrick’s Day is indirectly observed as an official holiday in Boston, as it coincides with the official Evacuation Day holiday observed annually since 1901 to commemorate the day in 1776 that British troops ended their occupation of Boston.”?
Yep.
Good thing too. Who knew that the day the brits pulled out of Boston harbor for good had to forever be acknowledged with parades, dancing, music, corned beef, the wearing of the green, and a whole lot of drinking?
Absolutely! So, on March 17, all Bostonians are Irish-
Because everyone loves to party.
Erin go Bragh!
Have a great day, everyone!
